What sets one woman apart from another? Allows one woman to succeed where others have failed? Provides a menu of life's opportunities to one and so few to another?

"It's attitude!" says Bobbi Decker, TV show host and co-producer of Bay Area Women. "Success doesn't just happen— we have to make it happen. And how well we manage and respond to life's unpredictable cycles is what separates us and makes us able to move forward."

Bobbi speaks from the heart and her personal experience when she tells us that the most important thing a woman can do is "Be yourself. Be the best that you can be. After that, nothing else matters. If you truly believe in yourself, your life can be more manageable. Accepting and appreciating who we are allows us to take life's inevitable disappointments in stride, so that we can reflect on them as lessons rather than tragic setbacks," she says.

Bobbi learned these lessons at a very early age. She had a mother whose constant love and reinforcement guided her to reach out for more. As a teen, she loved to compete and win. She won the Talent Award for National Junior Miss America. She became Boston College Marching Band's "Golden Girl," and earned a scholarship. Although her sights were set to go on to medical school and become a doctor, others who thought differently changed that course.

In search of what would provide fulfillment in her life, Bobbi explored many professions. She was an international airline flight attendant, the assistant manager of New York's Saks Fifth Avenue, the coach of the first Cheerleaders for the New England Patriots. After marriage, she became a high school teacher of biology/physical science and chemistry.

When the marriage failed and left her in debt, she moved into real estate. Within a short time Bobbi made her mark, established a career, and proved that women do not have to stay on a course that others have set for them. Given a goal and a burning desire to succeed, women have the power to reinvent themselves and become whatever they set out to be.

These are the learned passions that set the Bay Area Women TV show and its host Bobbi Decker apart. It is also reflective of the shows' entrepreneurial and successful women guests.

Bobbi Decker is a frequent and valued inspirational and motivational guest speaker at colleges and women's professional associations, as well as business workshops.
